The Microsoft Office Removal Tool (SetupProd_OffScrub.exe / .diagcab) is a troubleshooting utility provided by Microsoft to completely remove Office installations that cannot be uninstalled through normal methods. It scans the system for leftover files, registry entries, activation data, and configuration settings from previous or corrupted Office versions, then cleans them to allow a fresh installation. This tool is especially useful when Office setup fails, becomes damaged, or when multiple conflicting versions are installed. Although powerful and reliable, it should be used carefully, as it removes all Office products and requires reinstalling the suite afterward.
