Got a piece of software you think deserves more attention? Tell us about it
At Hardware Ocean, we spend a lot of time testing drivers, utilities, and tools that make PCs easier to build, tune, and maintain. But we can't catch everything on our own — some of the best finds come from readers who are already deep in their own setups, running software we haven't come across yet.
That's what this page is for.
Why we're opening this up
The hardware and software landscape moves fast. New monitoring tools, benchmarking suites, driver utilities, and open-source projects show up constantly, and plenty of them never get the spotlight they deserve. Rather than relying only on what crosses our own desks, we want to hear directly from the people actually using this stuff day to day.
If there's a tool that's saved you time, solved a problem, or just made your rig easier to live with, there's a good chance other readers would want to know about it too.
What kind of software we're looking for
We're open to pretty much anything relevant to PC hardware and the software that supports it, including:
- Drivers and firmware utilities
- System monitoring and benchmarking tools
- Overclocking and BIOS-adjacent software
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting utilities
- Open-source projects built for enthusiasts and builders
If you're not sure whether something fits, send it over anyway. We'd rather hear about too much than miss something good.
How the process works
Submitting a request is simple:
- Send us the details. Email us the name of the software, a link if you have one, and a quick note on what it does or why you find it useful.
- We take a look. Every submission gets reviewed — we check it out, test it where we can, and make sure it's something we can confidently feature.
- We publish it. If it's a good fit, we'll write it up and add it to the blog so other readers can discover it too.
We can't guarantee every submission will be featured, but every one gets read, and your suggestions genuinely help shape what we cover.
