Leave UAC Alone

Leave UAC Alone

Hello Hardware Ocean folks, this post is about Why you should never disable "UAC" on Windows devices.

What is Windows UAC (User Account Control)

UAC (User Account Control) is a security feature in Microsoft Windows that helps prevent unauthorized changes to your computer. When a program or a setting tries to make a change that could affect the system—such as installing software, modifying system files, or changing important settings—UAC displays a prompt asking for permission. This prompt ensures that only users with the proper privileges (usually an administrator) can approve these actions. UAC helps protect the system from malware, accidental changes, and unauthorized access by making sure critical tasks are explicitly approved by the user.

Conclusion

As an average user you should never disable UAC on Windows devices, when you disable UAC you take control in your hands and you're responsible for every action you make on your device. These days many hackers write their malware codes for Windows devices and this is because today many people is using Windows. (According to steam survey) There is viruses for linux too but Windows users is highly targeted. If UAC is turned off on your Windows device you should definitely turn it on right now.
